I live just north of Fort Worth, Texas in the suburb of Southlake and I first started showing household pets in
1979.
In the fall of 1991 I met Sam Lamoreaux (SAMSKATTS) who was breeding Norwegian Forest Cats at the time.
In late November of that year, she had a litter and tried to convince me I needed a Wegie.
I loved Norwegian Forest Cats ever since I first saw one in 1984 but never thought of owning one
because of the warm climate here. I hesitated for some time.
Six months later, Sam had one red classic tabby male left from a litter.
I have a weakness for reds, so I took him. His name was Samskatts T’rans Redreth (around the house he is
known as Eric).
At that time I had no intention of breeding. Two years later and much goading from Sam, I decided to be a Norwegian Forest Cat breeder.
My cats are never caged and are raised under foot. I consider them to be my children and treat them accordingly.
I place my kittens when they are four months old. The cost includes spaying or neutering and the first vaccinations.
